Caritas Ambassadors

Our Caritas Ambassadors were commissioned at Salford Cathedral on Friday 7th February.

They will be responsible for developing outreach work and supporting local charities and will be a voice for change and social action.

These are some of their reasons for becoming Caritas Ambassadors:

I would love to show to people that we can make the world a better place. I am very aware that our world is not in the best condition with current issues like climate change, destruction of nature, inequality, poverty, religious conflicts and sadly many more.

I would like to make a commitment to put my faith in action.

I would love to be a Caritas Ambassador because I love to help people and be kind. I am very compassionate and resilient and always accomplish my plans.

If given this opportunity, I will ensure that I make my school proud and make the wold a better place.

I would like to make a difference to the world. I am all about love, self-esteem, helping and care. I want to help the less fortunate.

I will show all, by example, how we can make the world a better place. I will be fighting the disease of poverty that so threatens the well-being of our society and our world.

I am good at listening and have very interesting ideas on how we can raise money to help children and parents within our community. I am able to put forward my ideas clearly.

I can be responsible and organised. I can communicate with people by showing them we’re friends. I have great listening skills. I can express my opinions by sharing my hope.

It is difficult to see that some families don’t have enough money to put food on the table. It’s also tragic to hear that many children can’t get things they would like to have, such as books to read and drawing paper.
