British Values Statement

Our Statement on British Values outlines how our school promotes the values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.

Values in action at St John Bosco

Democracy

Members of the School Council discuss which of the United Nations Rights of the Child we are going to focus on as a school this year.

Children in the winning house vote for their reward.

Rule of Law

Our school golden rules are displayed around our school, including outside.  They promote the importance of rules and laws.

Individual Liberty

Pupils in Year 6 can choose to be school librarians.

    

Mutual Respect

In Philosophy children listen to each other's ideas and opinions.

 

Tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs

We created displays showing what children had learned about other faiths.
